Get Ready to Jam: Alabaster Jubilee #3

Hey there, music lovers! We’ve got some fantastic news that’s sure to get your feet tapping and your hearts racing. The Alabaster Arts Council is thrilled to announce the third installment of the Alabaster Jubilee, and it’s going to be a showstopper! 🎶🎉

When and Where?

Mark your calendars for Saturday, October 28, and head over to the green space around the old Siluria water tower, right on the grounds of Alabaster’s municipal complex at 1953 Municipal Way. And guess what? Admission is absolutely FREE! Just bring your trusty lawn chairs and cozy blankets for a musical experience like no other. 🪑🎶

Thompson Square Takes the Stage!

The headlining act for this incredible event is none other than the dynamic country duo, Thompson Square. Remember their chart-topping hit “Are You Gonna Kiss Me Or Not”? Well, get ready to hear more of their sensational tunes as they celebrate a decade of musical magic. After a brief hiatus to focus on family (and release the critically acclaimed “Masterpiece” album in 2019), Keifer and Shawna Thompson are back with a bang, teaming up once again with Benny Brown, the mastermind behind their earlier chart-toppers. 🎸👏

A Day Packed with Music

The fun starts at 2 PM with our local rock heroes, Flywheel, setting the stage on fire. At 3 PM, get ready for some Americana and roots vibes courtesy of Bluewater Revival, the talented group from Florence, Ala., known for their soul-stirring single “Before My Fall.”

Finally, at 4 PM, it’s the moment we’ve all been waiting for – Thompson Square will sweep you off your feet with their irresistible melodies. 🎤🎵

Jamie Cole, a city council member and the Arts Council vice president, couldn’t be more excited: “We’ve wanted to have Thompson Square in Alabaster for years! They are a perfect blend of commercial success and artistry.”

And don’t forget about Bluewater Revival: “We can’t wait to introduce these guys to our concertgoers,” says Cole. “They hail from that Shoals music tradition of Jason Isbell, The Civil Wars, Secret Sisters… just outstanding songwriters with incredible harmonies.”

Community Spirit and Support

Alabaster Jubilee #3 is made possible with the support of Central State Bank, Coca-Cola, Discover Shelby, and the City of Alabaster. The city is especially proud to host the event at the Municipal Complex, which will be its home going forward and the future location of our city’s amphitheater.

Before the concert kicks off, you’ll also have the chance to explore local vendors and savor delicious treats from food trucks during the Alabaster Fall Festival, adding even more fun to this incredible day.

Camille Herron, Arts Council vice president, sums it up: “We encourage those attending the event to support our local vendors, and we thank our sponsors. We couldn’t make this happen without them, and we are excited to partner with Alabaster Fall Festival to bring an amazing day of family fun and music to our city!”

So, clear your schedules, gather your friends and family, and get ready for a musical extravaganza that’ll have you dancing and singing along. Alabaster Jubilee #3 is about to set your weekend on fire! 🔥🎶
